The insulated jacket is detailed with 2-inch silver taping that reflects light even in dim, dark environments. The striping extends around your body to give you 360-degree safety. We give our employees jackets as safety awards, and we have paid a lot more for the same quality of jacket in the past. It is not a really thick jacket, but it's not just a shell either. It works great for our guys that work in the building trades, allowing them to work, without getting too warm. The black front is great because it keeps the jacket looking new longer. Two things to know, first the hood is not removable but it rolls up and stores in the collar, and the second is they run a little on the small side, for example, if you are between a medium and large, definitely go with the large.
